Diabetes seminar offers news of services, technologies

Newton Medical Center’s Certified Diabetes Educator, Leslie Mack, is burning up the calories making presentations throughout NMC’s growing patient referral base.
The public is invited to learn about new services and technologies that can make their lives easier on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., during a “come and go” seminar at The Medical Plaza of Park City. There is no charge for this educational session, and carb-conscious refreshments will be served.

Mack will also serve as a co-presenter for the “What’s Cookin’ with Diabetes” workshop on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Faith Mennonite Church, 2100 N. Anderson in Newton.

This is a free, two-hour seminar prepared by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, K-State Research and Extension, Prime Therapeutics and Newton Medical Center.
