Get Physical Contest now open at Newton Medical Center

The public is invited to sign up for Newton Medical Center’s annual Get Physical competition. Sign up lasts from Sept. 17 - Sept. 30, at the front entrance of the hospital, located at 600 Medical Center Drive in Newton, Kan.
Get Physical is a healthy competition that urges people to log their daily exercise activities during the month of October in order to win prizes and promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Get Physical coincides with National Physical Therapy month, also in October.

After signing up for Get Physical, participants will automatically receive a free T-shirt with the Get Physical logo. Participants will also receive an exercise log to keep track of their exercise in October.

At the end of the competition, anyone turning in his or her activity log will receive a free Newton Medical Center water bottle. Activity logs can be turned in Nov. 1-9 at Newton Medical Center’s front entrance.

Completed activity logs will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing. Level 1 prizes will go to randomly drawn entrants completing less than 60 miles total. Level 2 prizes will go to randomly drawn entrants completing more than 60 miles total. Winners will be notified Nov. 12, the day of the drawing.

There is no cost to participate in Newton Medical Center’s Get Physical competition.
