Nursing Units
The following are the Nursing Units active at NMC.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit:
Helping patients become as independent as possible by learning skills necessary to live with a physically challenging condition.
Medical/Pediatrics Nursing Unit:
Serving adult and pediatric medical patients, with special attention to unique considerations for pediatric care.
Critical Care Nursing Unit:
Providing concentrated care to the critically ill patient.
Surgical Nursing Unit:
Providing care to surgery patients and specialized care to orthopedic patients.
Surgery Care:
Providing care before, during and immediately following surgery, including care for patients whose surgery does not require an overnight stay.
Post-Acute Care Nursing:
Specially designed, staffed and equipped for patients who have progressed beyond the need for acute-care nursing, yet who still require some highly skilled nursing or rehabilitative care.
Maternal Child Nursing Unit:
Providing family centered care to obstetrical patients and newborn infants.
Special Care Nursery:
A special nursery staffed by certified and registered nurses who care for moderate- to high-risk infants. The technical term for this nursery is Level II.
Emergency Department:
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with round-the-clock physician coverage. Our staff specializes in emergency care and has a close working relationship with all area emergency service providers.
