NMC’s Child Care Center is an employer-sponsored program, which serves Newton’s health care community. Child care services were established in 1990, and in 2005 a partnership was formed with Bright Horizons Family Solutions.

Bright Horizons Family Solutions is the world’s leading provider of employer-sponsored early care and education programs. At Bright Horizons, we consider it our privilege to accompany each child as they embark on a path of growth and lifelong learning.

Facility Standards:
At bright horizons we believe that family centers form a caring and learning community in which families, faculty and children can interact and grow.

Our facility is designed to fully meet the child care and educational needs of young children and to maximize safety. Parents participate in a computerized check-in/out system and determine a pre-authorized plan for pick-up as part of our safety protocol.

Our program is designed to meet the quality standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Our Teacher-Child Ratios:
Infants: 1:3
Toddlers 1:5
Twos: 1:7
Preschool: 1:12

The World at Their Fingertips:
Our learning program, The World at Their Fingertips, empowers children to become confident, successful, lifelong learners. We help children see the world as an invitation to learn, grow and live fully – to see a world of possibilities that is within their reach. We help each child approach school and the challenge of academic excellence with the skills, confidence and the drive to succeed.

The World centers around creating developmentally appropriate learning environments for each age group. Themes and ideas come from the interests and experiences of the children, families and teachers.

Keeping with our belief and practice of parents being full partners, the curriculum invites parents to participate every step of the way.
