Telephones
A telephone is located on a holder attached to your bed rail.
Friends and family may call directly to your room by dialing the phone number assigned to your room. Or they can call 283-2700 and ask the receptionist to transfer the call to your room.
Special telephones:
If you have hearing or vision difficulty, a telephone with an amplifier, TTY, or large dial-face is available. If you need one of these phones, please check with your nurse.
Calling from your room:
• To make a local call outside the medical center, dial "8" then the number.
• To use your telephone calling card, you may need to dial an access code. See your calling card for information.
• To call collect, dial "8" + "0" + number.
• Dial "0" to reach the Newton Medical Center receptionist.
