Commenting on Your Care

Patients, family members of patients, and others concerned with the welfare of our patients have the right to submit complaints, questions or concerns about the quality of care.

If you have a problem, please alert your physician or primary nurse or care giver. They may be able to correct the situation immediately. In some instances, they may seek assistance from a supervisor, department manager or administrative staff to address the problem.

Issues can also be submitted in person, by phone or in writing to the following:
• The person in charge of the patient's care
• Risk Manager
• Any member of Newton Medical Center's administrative team

The appropriate department manager, vice president or the president will review your concerns and take any necessary corrective action. We will inform you either verbally or in writing on the outcome.

All issues will be reviewed.

Newton Medical Center will not discriminate against anyone who submits a complaint.

Your staff could only help me a bit with those problems, but Dr. Gibson and the nurses handled everything else. There were times that they would just stop in to see if I needed anything. Never in all my hospital stays have I experienced such professionalism, friendliness and all around caring from a hospital nursing staff. All I can say is 'thank you!'"

Cleaning Staff
"The lady that cleaned my room one morning asked me about my admiration of flowers, and then brought me two roses from her garden! That was thoughtful and kind."

Meals

Emergency Room

Discharge
