Join Newton Medical Center for the next Dinner with the Doctor focused on diabetes prevention on Nov. 13. Talk with Drs. Angela Holdeman and Troy Holdeman and Erin Boccia, RD, LD, and CDE, about what steps you can take to ward off the chronic disease. An optional buffet ($5) begins at 5:30 pm; the free presentation begins at 6 pm.
November is National Diabetes Month and Newton Medical Center is partnering with the National Diabetes Education Program to raise awareness of the disease. In addition to Dinner with the Doctor, NMC’s clinics in Park City and Valley Center will join with their respective Chambers of Commerce to conduct walks in their community. The Harvey County Extension Service and Newton Medical Center dietitians will partner to present “About Blood Sugars and Carbohydrates With Diabetes” — a cooking class to be held at the Newton City building on November 27.
Angela Holdeman is an OB-GYN with Associates in Women’s Health and Troy Holdeman practices family medicine with Axtell Clinic, both located on the NMC campus.
