Bethel RN-BSN program to discount tuition for NMC nurses

As Bethel College’s new online RN to BSN program kicks into gear, a special offer for locally employed registered nurses will help make the program more affordable.

Rhonda Williams, Bethel RN-BSN coordinator, announced that Bethel in partnership with Newton Medical Center will offer registered nurses at NMC who enroll in the RN-BSN program a 25 percent tuition discount.

Besides the tuition discount, Williams said, “unlike many other similar programs, Bethel charges no technology fee.” She noted that the tuition discount applies to the RN-BSN program at Bethel only.

Bethel’s online program is designed for the practicing nurse who wants to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Courses build on knowledge already gained in an RN program and will be geared to the practicing RN, using learning from current work environments and relating that to the eight-week online courses.

The curriculum consists of nine online courses and two general education requirements taken on campus as summer intensives.

“Once admitted to the program, you can expect to complete nursing coursework and final general education requirements within 18 months,” Williams said.
