ENT and sleep specialist Dr. Barry Kimberley (MD/PhD) has been certified as an aviation medical examiner.
As such, he is recognized by the FAA as licensed to conduct required medical clearances for pilots. About 400,000 aviation medical examinations are performed each year, with the intention of keeping pilots healthy and improving safety in the sky.
Kimberley is an accomplished pilot. He has more than 1,000 hours as a pilot in command of complex high-performance, single-engine aircraft.
A relative newcomer to the region, Kimberley says he made the decision the move to this area because he had worked with colleagues nearby.
“The Newton Medical community was very gracious in inviting me to establish an ENT and sleep medicine practice here,” he said. “I couldn’t be any happier with the opportunity to be serving the people of Newton and surrounding communities.”
Dr. Kimberley grew up on a fruit farm in the Niagara Peninsula, near a Mennonite Community called Vineland. He enjoys traveling and has visited Russia, Turkey, Thailand, Central America, Brazil and most of Europe. He loves to travel light and without an agenda.
